'Can't Say No' Top Ten star Conor Maynard has announced two HMV instore performances and meet and greets, with the singer appearing at stores in London and Brighton.
Maynard will perform live at HMV in Bayswater, London on 30 July, 2012 at 1pm and at HMV London on 1 August, 2012 at 1pm. He will then sign copies of his debut album Contrast and meet fans. Contrast is release Monday, 30 July and includes the singles 'Can't Say No' and 'Vegas Girl'.
Fans of Justin Bieber hoping to find that the album establishes Maynard as the Canadian star's UK counterpart will be disappointed, as the Brighton-born singer, who rose to fame on YouTube, has bene quick to dismiss comparisons.
"A lot of people had it in their minds that I was the next Justin Bieber. But I didn't want to follow anyone," says Maynard in an interview with the Daily Telegraph. "I had to find out what kind of an artist I was, because I had never been in a studio, I hadn't even written a song. I had this motto: 'It's better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation'."
