The Happy Monday’s management has revealed that the original line-up is back together and working on new material, the first since 1992 album, ‘Yes Please!’
Manager Warren Askew says that the comeback is down to the success of the recent tour and that the band is getting on so well. “I’m sure it will be a great Happy Mondays album," he tells NME.
There have been rumblings of a reformation since Shaun Ryder told the Associated Press that “at first there was no chance of the original line-up doing another album and then it went to maybe and now it's definitely gonna happen."
The band’s last album ‘Uncle Dysfunktional’ was released in 2007; however it did not feature the full and original line-up of the band.
The band’s famous sidekick Bez stated that he would not perform at the band’s gigs this summer as hi performing days are over. However he features in the latest photos so he may be shaking his maracas on stage again after all.
