The Killers have unveiled the artwork for their new album 'Battle Born', which you can see on Gigwise now.

The striking animated image sees a horse and vintage sports car charging toward one another in what looks like the desert surrounding The Killer's native Las Vegas.

'Battle Born' is due out in September and, speaking earlier this week, Brandon Flowers told fans to expect a mixed bag of treats on the album.

"We've never hid our influences, and we've always been loud and proud. " he told Billboard.
 
Adding: "This album is going down a few different roads, and you really get a taste of what we like as a band and what we think our strengths are."

You can get a taste of 'Battle Born' by listening to a host of new songs premiered at a recent US gig here.

Meanwhile, the official video for Battle Born's lead single 'Runaways' is due to premiere later today (July 26). There is, however, a 30 second trailer to whet fans appetites in the mean time.
