Channel 4 has revealed plans to broadcast an all-night rave - with no advert breaks - to mark the birth of the UK's rave culture.
House Party will air for six straight hours from midnight on August 24th with no adverts. Channel 4 claim they hope to "turn the TV into the ultimate DJ booth".
DJs confirmed to appear on the broadcast include Grandmaster Flash and Annie Mac. Fans tuning in on the night will be able to request songs like a normal rave but will have to do so via Facebook and Twitter.
Visuals on the night will be provided by computer animators and graphic artists reacting to the music being played.
Speaking about House Party, C4's Tabitha Jackson said: "Perhaps the most radically innovative element of the night is that, in direct contrast to the new on-demand TV landscape, House Party is a genuine one-off. It will not be repeated and it will not be available on 4oD.
"Like all the best club nights and parties if you want to be there you have to turn up."
House Party is being broadcast to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the free rave at Castlemorton near Malvern in Worcestershire in 1992.
