Blink 182 have spoken of their regret at having to cancel the second of their two Brixton Academy shows tonight (26 July, 2012) after Mark Hoppus fell ill with a trio of illnesses.

Unfortunately for Blink fans, Mark Hoppus has fallen sick and is unable to perform. Additionally, the band's hectic schedule means there is no opportunity to reschedule the gig either.

A statement issued by the band reads: "It is with regret that tonight's Blink 182 show at London's O2 Academy Brixton has been cancelled. Unfortunately Mark Hoppus was taken ill at the end of last night's show and has been diagnosed with bronchitis, laryngitis and sinusitis.

"This is the last thing the band want to do, but on doctors advice today it has been highly advised that Mark cannot perform and the show can't go ahead."

You can see a review of Blink 182's Brixton gig last night (July 25th) here. Blink 182 recently revealed that they will play some shows next year without drummer Travis Barker as he is unable to fly following an airplane accident.

Fans with tickets for the Brixton gig are advised to contact their point of purchase for a refund.
