US singer Chris Brown has hit out at recently-outed R&B singer Frank Ocean, making a homophobic comment to waiting paparazzi outside a Cannes nightclub.
Brown, famous for hits including 'Turn Up The Music', 'Yeah 3X' and punching Rihanna repeatedly in the face, made the remark in France. When asked by photographers about Frank Ocean, Brown replied simply and unpleasantly, "Man, no homo," before leaving in a car.
The phrase 'no homo' is widely used to distance someone from any homosexual connotations in something they may have said or done.
Brown and Ocean have had a public falling out before, with a Twitter row between the two escalating to a threat of physical violence in 2011. After a Twitter row with his Odd Future bandmate, Tyler The Creator. Brown tweeted comments about Odd Future's lack of commercial success, claiming interacting with him online would boost their sales. Frank Ocean compared Brown to Sisqo and famous wife-beater Ike Turner, before Brown likened Ocean to unknown artists.
Rihanna is also staying Cannes at the moment, and there have been rumours of a reunion between the two - although representatives have denied this.
