Chris Herbert, the man fired from The X Factor after it was revealed he was involved in the leaking of judge Tulisa's sex tape, has apologised today - saying he can explain what happened.
Herbert, who managed the Spice Girls during their prime, was due to work on the next series of The X Factor but was fired after it was revealed he had worked with Justin Edwards on making sure the x-rated video found its way online.
As reported on Gigwise, Tulisa is taking legal action against Herbert, however he believes that everything can be explained quite simply.
Speaking to The Sun, Herbert was apologetic, saying: “I am so sorry to her for any part I may have played in this horrible saga.
"I was disgusted by the whole thing and from day one advised Justin not to do anything with the tape. "
Adding: “I even got a lawyer to tell him he would be sued. I tried to protect him because he was my client but I never made or asked for a penny. To be honest, I wish I’d never set eyes on the idiot.”
Meanwhile, Tulisa recently hit the headlines after a friend of hers was shot dead in Bournemouth. Police believe the death may be gang related.
