Arctic Monkeys and Dizzee Rascal were amongst the acts to get a timely sales boost off the back of performing at the Olympic Games opening ceremony on Friday (July 27).
Both Dizzee and Arctic Monkeys, along with Sir Paul McCartney and Frank Turner, were amongst the acts performing as part of Danny Boyle's £27m vision inside the Olympic Stadium.
Fans clearly rushed to download much of the music from the spectacular event with both Arctic Monkeys cover of The Beatles 'Come Together' and Two Door Cinema Club singer Alex Trimble's 'Caliban's Dream' both landing in the top 70 after just 24 hours on sale.
Elsewhere, older songs like Dizzee Rascal's 'Bonkers' and Frank Turner's 'I Still Believe' both re-enetered the top 100 alongside Arctic Monkey's 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor'.
At the top of the charts, Florence + The Machine remain No.1 for a third week with the Calvin Harris remix of 'Spectrum' with big new entries for Conor Maynard, Karmin, Cedric Gervais and Madeon.
Meanwhile, in the Official Album chart, Plan B's gritty film soundtrack 'Ill Manors' went straight to number one.
