After scoring huge success in the US in 2012, Ellie Goulding is poised to launch her UK comeback in October 2012, with the release of her second album, Halcyon.
The new album will follow the release of new single 'Anything Can Happen' on 30 September, 2012.
The BRIT Award-winning singer has spoken of the new album as the release and artwork have been unveiled, revealing how the new album is unintentionally based on her break-up with Radio One DJ, Greg James.
“This album for me is a journey from dark into light from confusion to understanding," says the 'Lights' singer. "I didn't set out to write a break-up record but I think it became one."
Goulding recorded the album with Kylie Minogue's producer Jim Elliot of Kish Mauve, who were responsible for Kylie's 'All The Lovers' smash hit single.
Ellie Goulding previously gave fans a taste of the new album with the release of free download 'Hanging On' - a duet with Tinie Tempah. She is currently in the American Top Ten with her single 'Lights'.
Halcyon will be released on 8 October 2012.
