A judge at Los Angeles superior court has ordered an independent inquiry into the care of Michael Jackson’s three children.

Judge Mitchell Beckloff ordered a probate investigator to interview Prince, Paris and Blanket and report back directly to him on their welfare. The report will “not be disseminated to any parties” according to Beckloff.

This is after grandmother Katherine Jackson lost custody of the children, with TJ Jackson taking temporary guardianship instead.

Although Katherine is currently attempting to regain custody, her attorney says that the proposal will be for Katherine and TJ to share guardianship of the children, as “Mrs Jackson and TJ have often shared responsibilities of raising the children.”

According to the LA Times, this would mean that TJ would be in charge of the children’s schooling, the household staff and security while Katherine would be in control of the children’s financial allowance from Michael Jackson’s estate.
