2005 X Factor winner Shayne Ward has hit out on Twitter about a new advert for X Factor 2012, which features previous winners of the show - but has left him out.

The singer and stage actor took to Twitter after a new promo for the 2012 series showed success stories from One Direction, Olly Murs, Little Mix, Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke.

"Just seen the new Xfactor promo video," Ward tweeted. "Yet again it's like im being erased slowly from their history. Pathetic really Would love to know why?" (Sic)

After responses of support from his fans, he added: "Thank you to everyone who tweeted me nice messages. It just would've been nice to have been acknowledged."

"It was a big part of my life."

Shayne Ward initally scored hits such as 'That's My Goal', 'No Promises' and 'No U Hang Up', but his most recent single, 'Obsession' reached just No.97 when it was released in 2011.
