The X Factor consultant accused of involvement with Tulisa's sex-tape leak has denied all involvement with the tape becoming public, claiming he advised Justin Edwards against making the tape public.

Chris Herbert admits discussions with Tulisa's ex-boyfriend Justin Edwards, but claims his role in the incident was to advise the wannabe rapper against making the intimate video public.

"I kept on explaining to him the ramifications and why he wouldn't get away with it," Herbert tells the BBC. " He kept coming back to me, and on about the fifth time I appointed a media lawyer to talk to him, talk some sense into him and explain why he shouldn't do.

Then, they turned around to me and said they had a distribution agreement which had been signed by Justin, which dates back to 2010," he added. "So all my attempts were in vain."

Tulisa is currently suing Herbert for his involvement in the sex tape leak. Herbert has said sorry to Tulisa over his role in the leak, but Tulisa claims one apology is not enough.
