Rihanna and Drake pick up most nominations for MTV VMA Awards

Rhanna and Drake lead the pack at this year's MTV Video Music awards, with the most nominations in 2012 - and are favourites to sweep the board at this year's event. See the full list of nominees below.

Regular collaborators Drake and Rihanna have both received numerous nods for their videos. Drake’s video for ‘Take Care’ has been nominated Video of the Year, Best Male Video, Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography. Although Rihanna features on the song and in the video, the nomination is only for the lead artist.

Rihanna’s video for Calvin Harris collaboration ‘We Found Love’ was nominated for three awards, including Video of the Year.

Katy Perry has been nominated for four awards, with Beyonce, Coldplay, Frank Ocean and M.I.A. all being nominated for three. Scroll down to read the full list of nominations.
