Coldplay's Chris Martin forgot his lyrics on stage in Boston over the weekend, blaming his interest in the Olympics for the mix-up.
London 2012 has captured the attention of sports fans the world over, even leading to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin blaming his interest in the Olympics for forgetting his words at a concert in Boston on the weekend.
Martin forget the words to his track 'Warning Sign' during the band's Massachusetts show on Sunday - the second time in a month he messed up lyrics he penned himself. This time however, he had his excuses prepared.
"I was thinking about the Olympics," he told the audience. "I was distracted. I was not in the break-up frame of mind I needed to be in. I'm gonna get back into it; I'm gonna stop thinking about pole vaulting and things like that.
"It's a big deal. You can't blame a guy for thinking about it every once in a while... but the best concert in the world is happening right here, right now. F*ck the Olympics. Let's have a f*cking great time in Boston."
Martin also reportedly forgot the lyrics to the same song during a show in Washington on 12 July, 2012.
