An audio recording of A$AP Rocky showing why he is considered the most exciting rapper in the world, and not singer, has been revealed online.

A$AP dropped in on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show earlier this year and recorded a half-hearted cover of Foster The People's 'Pumped Up Kicks' for the DJ. It has, for reasons now obvious, remained under wraps for many months.

Half singing, half talking, Rocky fails to make many of the notes and forgets his lyrics throughout. Still, he sounds like he's having fun. The 'Goldie' rapper recorded the song as he said he listened to the track 'every day' last Summer.

The rapper had a mixed time during his trip to the UK earlier this year, playing a series of sold out shows but also having his Rolex watch stolen from his wrist in London.
