Beyonce will donate all of the proceeds from her latest single to charity.
All proceeds of the single and video for the track ‘I Was Here’ will be donated to UN-run humanitarian organisations.
Beyonce and the song-writer, Diane Warren, are aiming to work with the UN in order to encourage people to get involved with charity work. The video reflects this, as it is to be filmed at the UN General Assembly Hall in New York in front of a live audience.
The single will be officially released on 19 August, which is World Humanitarian Day, and a website for the campaign was launched yesterday.
