Europop dance stars Swedish House Mafia have revealed the reasons behind their split, which they announced earlier this year.
The three DJs revealed their split in June this year, after scoring hits with the likes of 'Antidote', 'Save The World' and 'Miami 2 Ibiza' together. Now, in a new interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Steve Angello has revealed the reason behind the decision.
"We just decided that we reached a point where we don't know what the next move would be," says Angello. "We always like the challenge. And we don't like to repeat ourselves. We just felt like it was time."
"We're like brothers," he added. "We're still here. It's not like anybody has died. We've had beyond our dreams and we've come very, very far. We just felt like, 'let's stop touring.'"
The band performed their final UK show in Milton Keynes on 14 July, 2012 - but the event was marred when three audience members were stabbed at the show. Swedish House Mafia's last ever gig together will be in 24 November, 2012 in Stockholm, Sweden.
Steve Angello will appear at the SW4 festival in Clapham, South London in August. Tickets are on sale now. For more information, visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
