Jay-Z has reportedly given his blessing to Rihanna as she moves ever closer to getting back together with her violent ex, Chris Brown.

The pair are rumoured to have spent time together as Rihanna holidayed in the South of France over the past few weeks with Rihanna now back home in Barbados. It is believed that Brown, who was convicted of assaulting Rihanna in 2009, met her three times whilst she stayed on a luxury yacht in Europe.

There have long been rumours about the pair reuniting, with the general consensus being that the public must never now for fear of affecting Rihanna's image. However, boss Jay-Z has reportedly given the couple his blessing - a sign that they could go public with their relationship.

“Jay-Z sees Rihanna like a daughter and has sent his right-hand man Jay to Barbados to see what’s going on with her and Chris, a source told The Sun.

Adding: “She admitted they’re pretty much back on and Jay told her they’re all behind her and want her to be happy.

“Chris is even flying out to the island to see her soon. She knows that a load of her fans aren’t going to be happy about them hanging out though – people still haven’t forgiven him.”

Meanwhile, Rihanna has begun work on her next album, recruiting producer David Guetta to help craft her next batch of chart-topping hits.
