Beyonce is reportedly recording material for her next studio album in New York this month, teaming up with producer Hit-Boy on new songs.

Stepping into the recording booth for the first time since giving birth earlier this year, Beyonce is working with Hit-Boy, who has recorded with Nicki Minaj and created the song 'N*ggas In Paris for Kanye West and Jay-Z.

Security around the sessions was tight, as would be expected. "She's spent thousands hiring out the whole studios. She's got security on the doors to ensure no-one hears a whisper," a source told The Sun.

"She's being strict with proceedings too, putting in 14-hour days declaring nobody leaves until it's perfect."

Meanwhile, it was reported earlier this week that Beyonce will direct and produce a new documentary based on her own life.

According to a source close to the project, Beyonce and her people are showcasing a twenty minute piece of footage to various distributors around town.

It is unclear at this point as to what part of Beyonce's life film will focus on, but it is suspected to involve her huge recent sussess, her split from manager (and father) Matthew Knowles, and her marriage to rapper Jay Z.

The singer is also said to be working on a film project with Clint Eastwood, however her pregnancy and failure to find a male lead have lead to a delay in production.

Beyonce and husband Jay Z have caused a stir recently by revealing that they are spending $400,000 a month on rent in a house in The Hamptons.
