More about:

Nile Rodgers has spoken about his upcoming Daft Punk collaboration, calling it ‘some of his best work.’

The producer mentioned that he was working with Daft Punk last year, and he’s now spoken out saying that the collaboration is one of the best things he’s done – high praise from someone who has previously worked with Madonna and Duran Duran.

He told Mixmag: “All I can say is those guys are geniuses and to think that after all these years we've been trying to get together, they just show up at my apartment in New York City and the vibe between us is so powerful and so strong – it's unbelievable.

“Spiritually and artistically working with them was as good as anything I've ever done. It's as great as being in a studio with Bowie, it's as great as being with Bernard Edwards, and it's as great as the best stuff I've ever done with [Duran] Duran and Madonna.”

The album was hinted to be released in June of this year, but now it’s unknown when it will be finished.
