George Lewis Jr, better known as Twin Shadow has written 'Night of the Silver Sun' to accompany his second album, 'Confess'.
Speaking to Pitchfork, Lewis Jr that the epic video for '5 Seconds' is meant as a prologue to the novel; "The Night of the Silver Sun' is "about a motorcycle gang in the future, and it’s about friendship, in a way; two black motorcyclists who are fighting the good fight.”
Elliot Aronow, a former publisher of Lewis Jr has posted a number of excerpts from the novel on his website.
“They say that Georgie survived the flash encased in crystallized liquid that had leaked out of the heart of the moon, a new life frozen as if nature had kept him safe to rebuild the world.”
“My baby, my love, God has kept you wrapped in a diamond and now you will be my child.”
Twin Shadow recently announced that he will play Manchester Sound Control on October 31st, and London's Electric Brixton.
