Aiden Grimshaw has proven 2012's biggest pop surprise. Having successfully shaken off the X Factor tag (he came ninth in the 2010 series), the 20-year-old singer impressed with his debut single, and first solo hit 'Is This Love' earlier in 2012.
Now, the young star-in-the-making is back with his second, and arguably superior, single 'Curtain Call'. The track is inspired by Moby's legendary Play album, and Aiden admitted being greatly influenced by the chill-out / dance maestro in a Gigwise interview earlier this year.
"I listen to a lot of Moby - and you can definitely hear a Moby influence on there," Aiden told us in May. "When I listen to the album back I can hear a lot of my dad's indie-punk he'd have on after a night out that i'd have to listen to from my bedroom because he'd have it on at full blast."
We caught up with Aiden Grimshaw this week at the Red Bull studios in South London, where the singer performed his new single 'Curtain Call' - as well as 'Nothing At All', which is taken from Aiden's debut album Misty Eye (released 20 August, 2012).
