Following confirmation this week that 'Survival' stars Muse will be performing at Sunday's Olympic Closing Ceremony show, the band have shared a photo of their rehearsal. Check it out below.

The photo, which was posted on the band's official Twitter page, shows Matt Bellamy carrying an electric guitar and leading a procession of men painted gold and wearing giant drums on their head.

Muse confirmed their appearance at the closing ceremony yesterday (Wednesday, 8 August 2012). They will appear alongside the likes of George Michael and Annie Lennox - with the likes of One Direction, The Spice Girls, Kate Bush and Queen rumoured to join the festivities.

Speaking of 'Survival', the official Olympics theme, drummer Dom Howard told NME: “I'm happy with the song. It's a proper Muse song.

“It's not something we did for the Olympics. They sowed a seed by asking us to do some music but then five months went by. We showed them a few songs when they asked us about [playing the] closing ceremony and they loved it. It represented the enormous competition of what the Olympics is.”
