Full details of Sunday's Hyde Park event, which could well be Blur's final performance ever, have been revealed.
Organisers of the BT London Live Closing Ceremony Celebration Concery have today announced stage times for Sunday's event, which begins at 4:30pm with a performance by Bombay Bicycle Club.
New Order will then perform at 5:45pm, with The Specials on stage at 7:15pm. Headliners Blur will launch their two-hour performance from 9pm, when the Britpop legends will perform some of their biggest tracks from their back catalogue. The band recently performed an intimate gig at Oxford Street's 100 Club, where they played mostly b-sides and album tracks to fans.
Key moments from thew Olympic Closing Ceremony will be shown on the screens at the Blur gig, including the extinguishing of the Olympic flame and the Rio Handover.
Alex James recently revealed that if the show wasn't a success - it would be the last they will ever play.
“The focus at the moment is getting Hyde Park right," he told the NME. "But the response to the new songs has been amazing. I don't know if there's such a thing as an 'album' anymore, or if that word means anything. I really don't know what happens next, that's the only honest answer I can give.
“It's precarious though. If Hyde Park's s**t, then that's definitely it.”
