Tomorrow's closing ceremony of the London Olympics closing ceremony is to be themed around Britpop, organisers have revealed.

The event will also feature athletes from the games in mosh-pit in front of the stage, where the likes of Ed Sheeran, The Spice Girls, Take That, Queen, Jessie J, Annie Lennox and many more will perform tomorrow night, 12 August 2012. The event is titled Symphony of British Music.

"Organisers reveal the Olympics closing ceremony is called 'Symphony of British Music' and celebrates the last 50 years of Britpop," organisers posted on the official Olympics twitter.

"The closing ceremony will see athletes come into the Stadium and form a mosh pit and 3,500 performers will take part."

Earlier this week it was rumoured that Kate Bush would perform at the ceremony, but this is yet to be confirmed. Take That are also scheduled to perform, despite the recent loss of Gary Barlow's fourh daughter, Poppy, who was stillborn.
