12 August, 2012: Last night in London, while the Spice Girls were whizzing around the Olympic Stadium on the top of taxis, Blur were performing the last show in the BT summer series in Hyde Park. The city was united for the last time in Olympic spirit, celebrating the end of London 2012 Olympics.
The band closed a run of huge live shows that have run alongside the Olympics, and staged a spectacular two hour show of some of the biggest and best indie anthems the UK has ever heard. 'Parklife', 'Girls & Boys', 'Beetlebum', 'Coffee & TV', 'Tender' - every track was a classic hit and every song had the audience singing along.
Before the show, there was suggestions that it would be Blur's last ever performance together with Alex James saying that if their Hyde Park wasn't a success - it would be the band's final show.
