Despite his loss of his daughter Poppy, Take That frontman bravely took to the stage at last night's Olympic closing ceremony alongside his TT bandmates.

Take That performed their hit 'Rule The world' without Robbie williams, who was in the US with his pregnant wife. During the performance, the band were surrounded by ballet dancers, and Darcey Bussell descended from the roof wearing giant orange wings.

Fellow 90's stars the Spice Girls also appeared in a rare full-band performance. Posh Spice, aka Victoria Beckham has said that it will definitely be the girl-groups last ever performance, but with the success of various recently reformed bands, will they be able to resist?

The concert also featured huge performances from Muse, George Michael and The Who.

The X Factor judge and recent recipient of an O.B.E. appeared at the concert despite the recent loss of his baby girl.

Barlow was recently singled out as a victim of 'Trolling', where people post purposefully hateful messages to someone online.

Former Big Brother contestant Kenneth Tong used Twitter to post vile jokes regarding Gary Barlow's recent tragedy in order to secure a date with model Rosie Huntington Whiteley. Click here to read the full story.
