Frank Ocean said he feels 'like an asshole' after cancelling a series of European shows this month, including dates at V Festival and Bestival.
The singer, whose latest album Channel Orange reached No.2 in the UK charts last month, has also pulled support slots on Coldplay’s upcoming European tour.
Ocean was set to appear next weekend on V Festival's Arena Stage at Weston Park, Staffordshire (18 August) and at Hylands Park, Essex (19 August).
In a statement released by organisers Way Out West, Ocean seemed to point to a busy touring schedule as reasons for the cancellation, although the singer also finished a festival show early in Norway on 10 August because of vocal issues.
Ocean said: “Let me start by saying I feel like an asshole right now, but a tough decision had to be made in regard to my schedule over the next few months.
“The casualties of that decision include my appearances at upcoming festivals in Europe and my opening slot on the European leg of the Coldplay world tour.
“Sorry as f**k, I'll be back if you have me.”
