Gary Powell, former drummer of inide rock band The Libertines, has slammed Morrissey, calling him an 'absolute pr*ck' in a new interview.
Powell made his insulting comments after Morrissey spoke about his feelings for the Olympic Games, calling them 'foul' and 'full of blustering jingoism'.
Chatting to BounceSIN, Powell disagreed with Babyshambles drummer Adam Ficek, also interviewed, who said Morrissey can get away with his claims.
"No he can't," Powell says in the interview. Adding: "Morrissey created a character and everybody jumped on board, and then he kind of went into his little cave. I'm not a big Morrissey fan."
Powell then calls the former Smiths singer a "kn*b" and an "absolute pr*ck".
Carl Barat of The Libertines revealed this weekend that the band could have played a part in the Olympics, having been invited to perform at the closing party but declining the offer.
Meanwhile, Gary Powell is not the first musician to insult Morrissey this week with former Viva Brother singer Lee Newell hitting out at him following a support slot dispute dating back to 2011.
