Soundgarden have revealed details of their long-awaited comeback album, announcing they will release it in November.
The as-yet-untitled album will come out on November 12th in the UK and is the band's first in 16 years after their split in 1996.
The band announced they had got back together in 2010 and were working on a new studio album, which frontman Chris Cornell previously said would likely see the light of day in October.
Guitarist Kim Thayil told Rolling Stone that the new album was a "little weird".
He said: "It re-establishes that we still rock, we're still heavy, and we're still a little weird."
He also said that the song 'Blood On The Valley Floor' would feature on the album, as well as 'A Thousand Days Before' - "a little Indian thing and some chicken-pickin. We call it 'country and eastern.'"
It was previously reported that Smashing Pumpkins' frontman Billy Corgan had criticised the Soundgarden reunion, suggesting that it was all about money.
