Chris Brown's lawyer has slammed the attempts to sue his client and Drake for their part in a brawl in a New York nightclub in June.
As reported yesterday, Brown and Drake are being sued for $16m by Entertainment Enterprises, who own the club that both rappers entourages exchanged blows in earlier this year.
However, it appears that Brown is not taking things too seriously with Tmz.com reporting that the 'Turn Up The Music' star's lawyer Mark Geragos has said, "It's a frivolous lawsuit."
John Bakhshi, who owns the Greenhouse club in New York, has filed the lawsuit against both stars of the hip-hop world under his Entertainment Enterprises business name. DNAinfo reports that he is seeking damages following the incident in the Greenhouse sister club W.i.P in June.
Leaked court papers reveal that Entertainment Enterprises claim that the publicity caused by the brawl ended hopes the club had of a $4 million brand expansion deal.
Additionally, Bhakshi believes that his brand is forever linked with violece and riot like behaviour, telling the court that "the Greenhouse marks were now associated with the kind of violent, life-threatening riot engaged in by [Brown and Drake], and that they were now worthless".
Brown and Drake were also sued by a woman who got caught up in the violent nightclub incident.
The New York brawl left Brown with a deep wound on his chin, which she posted a picture of online. It is believed the row erupted over both artist's relationships with Rihanna.
Rihanna recently claimed that she 'lost her best friend' when Chris Brown violently assaulted her in 2009.
