Leona Lewis has revealed further details about the release of her new single 'Trouble' on 7 October.

The track is the first to be taken from Lewis' much anticipated thrid album, 'Glassheart', which follows a week later on 14 October.

US rapper Childish Gambino features on the song, which is Lewis' first single since her joint release with Swedish DJ Avicii, 'Collide', failed to become the global hit anticipated.

Released on Simon Cowell's Syco Music imprint, 'Trouble' was co-written by Lewis and a host of current hit makers, including Emeli Sande, Naughty Boy, Fraser T Smith and Craze and Hoax.

Describing the track, Lewis said: "'Trouble' tells the story of love going bad and becoming destructive, aspects of which we can all relate to.

"It’s a deeply emotional and poignant song that I have a real connection to."

Speaking about Childish Gambino's contribution to the song, Lewis said: "I wanted someone who was creative and poetic and witty and he ticks all those boxes and compliments the record perfectly."

As previously reported, a demo version of the Emeli Sande track 'Mountains' by Leona Lewis also recently leaked - listen to it below.

Another song, the dubstep-influenced 'Come Alive', was also premiered by Lewis at the Hackney Weekend earlier in 2012.
