'Ironic' singer Alanis Morissette has revealed that when she toured with Vanilla Ice in the rapper's heyday, she was banned from looking him in the eye.
In a new interview with The Guardian, Alanis discusses the odd joint tour, which took place before the singer released her breakthrough album, Jagged Little Pill.
"I was instructed not to look him in the eye," says Morissette of her time on the road with the 'Ice Ice Baby' hitmaker. "I ended up never really being near him so I didn't have to apply my restraint. Bless him, I think he was in the middle of the mayhem and it can be overwhelming."
She also adds that she experienced her own period of mayhem during her Jagged Little Pill era, revealing: "I still have PTSD from the Jagged Little Pill era. It was a profound violation. It felt like every millisecond I was attempting to set a boundary and say no and people were breaking into my hotel rooms and going through my suitcase and pulling my hair and jumping on my car."
