Happy Mondays have anounced details of two huge gigs in London this December.
The band, led by Shaun Ryder and backed enthusiastically by Bez, will perform at The Roundhouse in Camden on Wednesday 19th & Thursday 20th December 2012.
808 State Soundsystem will support on both nights with special guests also due to be anounced shortly.
The new gigs coincide with Happy Mondays manager Warren Askew revealing that the original line-up of the band are working on a new album for the first time since 1992. “I’m sure it will be a great Happy Mondays album," he tells NME.
There have been rumblings of a reformation since Shaun Ryder told the Associated Press that “at first there was no chance of the original line-up doing another album and then it went to maybe and now it's definitely gonna happen."
The band’s last album ‘Uncle Dysfunktional’ was released in 2007; however it did not feature the full and original line-up of the band.
Tickets for both Roundhouse gigs are on sale now priced £32.50. For more information visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
