Rihanna has revealed that she is still in love with Chris Brown and confirmed that the pair met while they were both in the South of France recently.
The singer made the confession during her much-hyped interview with Oprah Winfrey, which was broadcast on US television on the weekend.
"I’m single but we have maintained a very close friendship since the restraining order has been dropped. It’s not easy," said Rihanna during the interview. "We went to a mutual friend’s party on a yacht. It’s awkward because I still love him."
"I truly love him and the main thing for me is that he is at peace. I’m not at peace if he is unhappy or he is still lonely. I care. It actually matters that he finds that peace."
The pair were said to have spent time together earlier in the year, but rumours of a reconciliation between the two were denied by Chris Brown's representative at the time.
Rihanna and Chris Brown dated until 2009 when he infamously beat the singer up en route to the Grammy Awards.
