Bloc Party fans have camped out on the street ahead of an intimate gig tonight in a 250 capacity East London bar.

The band yesterday announced that they would perform the intimate show tonight at Birthdays in Dalston. The bar later recommended that fans did not attempt to camp overnight in the notoriously rough area of London, but this morning revealed a queue had already formed.

"Dudes: we totally rate your commitment, but we seriously recomend you don't try and camp out in Dalston," the bar's official Twitter posted yesterday, before adding: "Lots of people asking what time we recomend turning up, but to be honest it's impossible to say because it depends on when people turn up."

This morning, they revealed fans had already began queuing for the show, tweeting: "There's people queing outside for the @BlocParty show already, trying to figure our how to hook them up with beer without breaking the law."

Bloc Party announced the show on Twitter yesterday. "No more clues: GIG! Birthdays! London N16! Tomo! Free and first come first serve," the band tweeted.

The gig is free, and doors will open at 7:30, first come first serve. The show will start at 8:30.

The band recently announced the biggest show of their UK career - a 2013 gig at London's19,000 capacity Earls Court. Tickets for that show are on sale now. For more information visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
