Madonna dedicated her song 'Masterpiece' to Sir Elton John at her Nice show in France last night, seeming to put an end to their recent feud.
It was during a performance in Nice, France on Tuesday night (Aug 21) that Madonna tried to put an end to the very long running feud between herself and Elton, telling the audience she knows her enemy is a big fan of hers underneath the bile.
"I'd like to dedicate this next song to a Mr. Elton John. I know he's a big fan of it," Madonna told her French fans before her performance of 'Masterpiece. Adding: "And I know he's a big fan of mine. And you know what? I forgive him. Gotta start somewhere."
However, Madonna's comments could be taken with a pinch of salt as 'Masterpiece', taken from Madonna's film W.E. is the song which beat Sir Elton John to a Golden Globe earlier this year. A defeat he was less than happy with.
Elton John has yet to respond to Madonna's comments but he recently said that her career was 'over' adding that it couldn't happen to 'a bigger c*nt'.
