Gigwise Presents headliner Bright Light Bright Light has been tipped to pick up a nomination for this year's Mercury Music Prize.

Odds on Make Me Believe In Hope being nominated have been slashed to 6/1, making the album the second favourite for nomination, behind Alt-J's An Awesome Wave.

Bright Light Bright Light is singer/songwriter Rod Thomas, and his debut album is a collection of modern pop classics, inspired by a love of nineties house music.

Bright Light Bright Light performs an intimate gig got Gigwise on 12 September. He will headline the second of our 2012 Gigwise Presents nights, with support from pop newcomer, Eric Solomon.

Tickets are on sale now through SeeTickets and Gigantic.
