The Rolling Stones are reportedly recording together at a Paris studio.

Last weeek Mick Jagger posted a message on Twitter that the band had spent a week recording in a Paris studio, further fuelling rumours of a new album and world tour in 2013.

The frontman also posted a picture of himself in the studio holding a black stratocaster guitar which you can see above.

Posting on Twitter, Jagger wrote: "Had fun in the Paris studio this week! @RollingStones"

The legendary band celebrated their 50th anniversary this year, and Jagger revealed earlier in the summer that the band would be performing together again "this autumn..."

It was also recently reported that the Stones turned down the chance to perform at the Olympics Closing ceremony due to lack of practice, while guitarist Keith Richards admitted to fogetting how to play some of the band's classic songs.

A new Rolling Stones documentary is also set to air this autumn on US television station HBO.
