Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and P Diddy have all reacted to the death of influential hip-hop manager Chris Lighty, who was found dead last night.
Unconfirmed reports are that Lighty, 44, shot himself after a row with his ex-wife and that he may have also been in financial trouble.
Stars of the hip-hop, pop and R'n'B world have since reacted to the death, posting their condolences on Twitter.
Rihanna Tweeted (@rihanna): "Rest peacefully Chris Lighty, my prayers go out to family and loved ones! Dear God please have mercy"
Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst also took to Twitter to post his thoughts (@freddurst): "Chris Lighty - my prayers are with you and your family. Rest In Peace."
Nicki Minaj also wrote (@NICKIMINAJ): "Another tragic & inconceivable loss for the culture. #RIPChrisLighty"
P Diddy, a close friend and associate of Lighty, posted simply (@iamdiddy): "In shock." Before adding later: "R.I.P. Chris Lighty. He Was A Dear Friend Of Mine And I Still Can't Believe It."
Diddy also went on to post a photo of him and Lighty together at an event, as did rapper Ludacris.
Lighty also managed the rapper Soulja Boy (@souljaboy), who posted a heartfelt message on Twitter: "R.I.P my manager Chris Lighty, I know you're in a better place. this shit got me so fucked up big bro we just talked on the phone 2 days ago"

Mary J Blige was another singer to have worked with Lighty, posting on Twitter (@maryjblige): "U never know what can send a person over the edge or make them want 2 keep living. take it easy on people. We are so fragile."
US rapper Trey Songz (@TreySongz) Tweeted: "Thankful. Life is precious, far too precious for time to be wasted on hatred. Spread love!!! You never know what's to come..."
Lighty's friend DJ Khaled also posted a long message through the social networking site (@djkhaled): "R.I.P chris lighty!! Chris is hip hop, a friend & a gr8 person! When I came in the game he acknowledged me from the beginning & aspired 4 me 2 B gr8! Chris always wanted 2 help everyone! & did! Much luv 2 the family & my prayers R w/ them!"
Lighty used to manage rapper 50 Cent, who released a heartfelt statement about his friend's death: "Chris has been an important part of my business and personal growth for a decade.
"He was a good friend and adviser who helped me develop as an artist and businessman. My prayers are with his family. He will be greatly missed."
