Jersey Live organisers were forced to quarantine the backstage area of their festival last weekend after a huge spider was found in Noel Gallagher's kit.
The High Flying Birds frontman was headlining the festival, which ran over the weekend of Sept 1-2, topping a bill which also included Primal Scream, The Stranglers and Jake Bugg.
According to reports, Gallagher was not on site when the spider was found but it was discovered inside one of the flight cases housing his instruments for the headline set. The backstage area of the festival was immediately put under quarantine as local wildlife experts were contacted.
"Staff immediately set about catching the spider and an area backstage had to be quarantined for nearly 20 minutes. Noel had not arrived at the gig and so was blissfully unaware of the panic the spider caused," a spokesperson told BBC.
The spider is now in the care of Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust whilst Noel Gallagher remains in the wild, free to headline the iTunes Festival in London later this month.
