Eagles Of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughe has revealed he has heard new tracks from the new Queens Of The Stone Age album - which he claims sound 'badass'.
The ‘No One Knows’ band are currently in the process of recording their sixth album, a follow up to 2007’s ‘Eva Vulgaris’. The band recently posted a Facebook status which read simply - 'Recording', and clocked thousands of likes in minutes.
Jesse told NME: "The sh*t I’ve heard from the new Queens album is so badass. It’s really cool."
Frontman of the Eagles of Death Metal Jesse went on to say, “It’s the kind of sh*t that makes John Holmes [porn star] have a bigger d**k and he’s dead, so that’s pretty rad.”
“Because Josh Homme’s my best friend, I’m very fortunate in that I get to be privy to a lot of the cool sh*t that happens, including the writing process for the new Queens album.”
The American band have previously said that they have been writing material since 2008 and started the recording process in January 2011. They have stated that they're just working at a steady pace and are in no rush. Guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen said at the time, “We’re a band that don’t push things, things happen naturally, and they are.”
Back in 2011, frontman Josh Michael Homme said, “What we were doing was a kind of bluesy and now it’s turned into this trancey, broken thing. The robots are back.”
