The Killers have teased details of the live-streamed gig they are planning with film director Werner Herzog.
The Las Vegas band will premiere their new album 'Battle Born' on September 18th with a live show in New York which will be streamed online to fans around the world. Herzog, who has made films including Lessons of Darkness and Invincible, will direct the live stream.
Speaking about what fans can expect from the footage, bassist Mark Stoermer told fans to expect some far out ideas, including filmed footage of crowd-surfing.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Stoermer said: '[Werner] has ideas for someone crowd-surfing with a camera on. I think there's gonna be an animal involved. I'm sure it will be all done the right way.'
Adding: 'We're so honoured to work with Werner Herzog. He's made some legendary films and we can't believe we got him to do this.'
The Killers will be previewing 'Battle Born' with a number of small-scale gigs, including two shows in London before returning to the UK in October for a full arena tour.
