Simon Cowell has confirmed that there will be a role for Team GB's Olympians on this years X Factor, revealing that he wants to include the stars of the Paralympics too.
As reported on Gigwise, gold medallists including Tom Daley Mo Farah and Jessica Ennis are tipped to appear on the ITV show in a motivational role later in the series. Confirming the plans to Channel 5 news, Simon Cowell described Paralympic athlete Ellie Simmonds as a 'star' and said:
"I think we're going to do something around the Olympics on one of the live shows so they're all welcome," he told Channel 5 news.
Adding: "We like having heroes on our shows."
The X Factor was criticised this past week after an hour-long audition show aired on Saturday Sept 1) featured just eight minutes of actual singing.
