Rihanna has announced the first leg of a huge world tour in 2013, starting rumours that the prolific pop star will be bringing out a new album some time in the next six months.
The announcement of the 'Diamonds' tour, which starts in New York on March 8th, with a host of US and Canada dates already confirmed, suggests that the 'We Found Love' star will have something new to promote when she hits the road.
Rihanna recorded her 2011 album 'Talk That Talk' whilst on her 'Loud' world tour. That huge tour culminated in a ten night stint at London's O2 Arena.
'Talk That Talk' is Rihanna's sixth studio album, following releases in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010.
Meanwhile, Rihanna hit the headlines earlier this week when she appeared to kiss ex-boyfriend Chris Brown after accepting an award at the MTV VMAs. The couple split in 2009 following his assault of her but the pair have grown close again in recent months.
