Mercury Music Prize nominee Jessie Ware has tipped The Maccabees for victory at this year's awards.
The 'Wildest Moment' star has praised the band's nominated album Given To The Wild and frontman Orlando Weeks for his songwriting skills.
"I think The Maccabees should get it this year. I think Orlando [eeks is an incredible songwriter and the band create these beautiful moments and you really hear a journey in the album," she tells Digital Spy. "It's a delightful piece of music."
She also revealed that she hoped The Invisible, who she worked with on her debut album Devotion, had been on the list as well "The Invisible could have been on the list as well - [Their album] Rispah is a masterpiece.
"It also would have been great to see Kate Bush on there as well... just to get a glimpse of her!"
