More about: Friendly Fires
Friendly Fires have recruited Sherlock actor Benedict Cumberbatch to appear on a compilation album they have curated.
The 'Pala' band are the latest act to be handed their own Late Night Tales mix and have assembled a truly eclectic mic of songs and artists with Cumberbatch appearing on a tracklist alongside SBTRKT, Cocteau Twins and even Olivia Newton John.
Friendly Fires have contributed something new to the compilation too with their cover of Eberhard Schoener + Sting's 'Why Don’t You Answer?'.
Benedict Cumberbatch, currently starring in BBC 2 drama Parade's End, appears in a non-musical role, reading a “new bedtime story” called ‘Flat Of Angles (Part 1)’ in the albums spoken word coda.
