More about:

Notorious Rihanna-beater Chris Brown has met with victims of domestic violence in LA.

The R&B terror, who infamously assaulted his ex-girlfriend, global superstar Rihanna in 2009 conversed with adults and children at the event, reported MTV. We're sure it was a comforting and thrilling experience for the victims of domestic violence he met.

The 23-year old singer stated, "It's in my heart to show my fans, my friends and family and the families at Jenesse who stood by me they were right to give me another chance. I'm working hard to make them proud," he said.

The 'Turn Up The Music' star is repeatedly hitting headlines for his monstrous behaviour, a new tattoo placed in the stars neck has stirred up quite a fuss this week.

A rep for Brown has said that the image is in fact completely harmless and shows a face comprising Mexican imagery and a recent MAC advertising campaign.

"His tattoo is a sugar skull (associated with the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead) and a MAC cosmetics design he saw. It is not Rihanna or an abused woman as erroneously reported," the rep told TMZ.

Brown first debuted his tattoo at an event in Las Vegas on September 1st. Sources close to Brown initially denied that the ink depicts Rihanna with a rep telling TMZ the woman in the picture is just, 'a random woman.'

  • Chris Brown was criticised by Usher for holidaying at P Diddy''s Miami compound in February 2009 shortly after the infamous incident that saw Brown severely beat up Rihanna. Usher said: "C''mon, Chris. Have a little bit of remorse, man. The man''s on Jet Skis? Like, just relaxing in Miami?"

  • On US TV show Good Morning America in March 2011, Brown was questioned about his attack on Rihanna. Angered by the interview, Brown smashed up his dressing room backstage and screamed at staff. He later apologised: ''If anybody who was startled in the office, or anybody who was offended I'm disappointed in the way I acted - I got very emotional.'' Adding:"I felt like, 'OK, they told us this just so they can get us on the show so they can exploit me. I kept my composure and did my performances, and when I got back, I just let off, like, steam in the back.''

  • Brown suffered criticism from the likes of Jack Osbourne and country singer Miranda Lambert in early 2012 for performing and receiving an award at the Grammys - his first appearance at the awards since the attack on Rihanna in 2009. There was more still: "and to be REALLY HONEST... yall wonder why n*gga spazzes all the time? Lol"

  • Brown appeared with his visibly upset mother and manager Joyce Hawkins on Larry King''''s US talk show in August 2009 to discuss his attack on Rihanna. She was apparently "very disturbed and upset" by the incident. Brown has often in the past defended himself from criticism, even suggesting in November 2009 that he was "confused" that some people wanted to see him in prison for the attack: "They don''''t want to see me do anything... they wanna see me kind of, basically in jail," he told MTV.

  • Chris Brown got into a row with hip-hop group Odd Future after he criticised their music on Twitter: "All this demonic music is wack as sh*t!" Adding: "I never claim to be no saint but by no means am I trying to promote death, violence, and destruction with my music!" • Brown was involved in a brawl with rapper Drake's entourage when they bumped into each other at a bar in June 2012. The two are both ex-boyfriends of Rihanna, whom the row was said to be about. The incident left Brown with a scar on his chin, posting this picture with the Tweet: ""How u party wit rich n**** that hate? Lol. Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!"

  • After Rihanna won at the MTV VMAs in September 2012, Brown courted controversy by congratulating his former girlfriend with a kiss on the lips. Rumours have been rife about the two getting back together, with Rihanna suggesting she is still in love with Brown. However, Brown is in a long-term relationship with model Karrueche Tran.

  • In February 2012 Brown was charged with robbery after allegedly stealing a fan's phone outside a nightclub when the fan tried to take a photo of him. He allegedly said to her: "Bitch, you ain't going to put that on no website." Earlier in the month, he was also forced to deny allegations he said to a woman: "Can I get your number? I promise I won't beat you!"
