Madonna has promised fans a future collaboration with Lady Gaga - immediately after making a fresh insult about the 'Born This Way' star copying her work.
Madonna dedicated her track 'Masterpiece' to Gaga at a show in Atlantic City, New Jersey on the weekend, claiming to 'love' her pop rival - but at the same time accusing her of stealing her ideas.
"I love her. I love her. I do love her. Imitation is the highest form of flattery," Madonna told her fans, before adding: "And one day, very soon, we're gonna be on stage together. Just you wait."
Madonna has criticised Gaga heavily in 2012 for the similarities between her track 'Born This Way' and Madonna's own hit 'Express Yourself'. When asked previously about similarities between the tracks, Madonna said: "I thought, 'What a wonderful way to redo my song'. I mean, I recognised the chord changes. I thought it was... interesting."
Lady Gaga, who has always named Madonna as one of her biggest influences, but strongly denied any similarities between the songs, spoke out at a concert in New Zealand about Madonna's 'mockery'.
"It sometimes makes people feel better about themselves to put other people down or make fun of them or maybe make mockery of their work," she told fans. "I feel like if you're a really good human being, you can try to find something beautiful in every single person, no matter what."
"I don't even want to fight back, because it's more important to me to keep writing music."
However, Madonna appears to be feeling more apologetic of late, having kissed and made up with Elton John after his scathing comments about her MDNA tour being a disaster and her career a flop.
