Chart topping popstar, reality TV judge and now movie actress. Jessie J is set to make her big screen debut in the not-exactly-blockbuster-material movie about the life of Britain's Got Talent winner, Paul Potts.
Jessie J joins the cast of the film about the portly opera singer alongside The Office and Pirate Of The Caribbean star MacKenzie Crook. Pauls won the first ever Britain's Got Talent series in 2007 and went from being a manager of a mobile phone store to a celebrated opera star. Jessie J will play the girlfriend of his best friend - played by Crook.
“Jessie was a later addition to the cast, after the rest of the big names had been announced," said a source to The Mirror. "She is a great casting. Even though she’s primarily a singer, she has a real talent for acting, too.
"The script looks hilarious – it’s really cleverly written and has a typically British sense of humour," the movie gossip continues. "It’s a real rags-to-riches story."
Filming on the Paul Potts movie is set to start at the end of October. No release date has been announced.
